NUJ: Powerful Pen Media Chapel Sets for 2025 Press week

The Powerful Pen Media Chapel of Nigerian Union of Journslists, NUJ, has concluded plans for its Press Week, slated for two days; Wednesday, August 27th to Thursday August 28th, 2025. Venue, no 19 Calcutta Crescent, Apapa, Lagos.
The programme, which is a well-thought out initiative has a theme, 'The Role of the media in National Development'.
It will feature presentations on the importance of developmental Journalism, responsible reportage and national security.
Reputable stakeholders in the maritime industry will also speak on current issues about port operations, especially the use of technology for seamless operations.
In the press release issued by the Chairperson - The Powerful Pen Media Chapel of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Udeme Clement, stated that as maritime Journalists, the programme will avail us ample opportunity to assess activities of agencies operating on the port corridors, and traffic management along the ports access roads.
Other activities include poetry presentation, singing competition, among others.
Note that the first day of the Programme, which is, Wednesday, August 27th is not open to the public. The first day is for arrival of Members, registration and internal meeting of all Chapel members, to review the progress made so far by the Chapel since its inception.
The seond day of the event, which is Thursday, August 28th will be opened for invited guests and the public, from 11.00am.
