Former CGC Strike Force Coordinator, Comptroller Musa Yusuf Retires 




After putting in a meritorious service for his fatherland, the immediate past Coordinator, CGC Strike Force Zone ‘C’, Comptroller Musa Yusuf, has bowed out of the Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, with  an enviable rank of Comptroller.

Yusuf was among the newly promoted Comptrollers decorated this week at the Service Headquarters, Abuja.

The Yobe State born senior Customs officer attended St. Paul’s Primary School and Government Secondary School, both in Yobe. He later went to the School of Basic Studies, Ahmadu Bello University, ABU, Zaria. Thereafter, young Yusuf proceeded to same university to study Architecture and bagged a Bsc and MSc in the process.

He worked at the Niger Command’s Operation unit as the OC Patrol and later moved to the Kebbi command as the OC ACG’s Squad.

The retired Comptroller was later moved to the Kastina Command and served as the OC Roving and Monitoring Team.

When moved to Lagos, Yusuf worked at Lilypond as OC Bonding and Bulk Cargo seats and from there to the EI&I department of the Abuja
headquarters.

Other areas he worked  as an officer includes: FOU Zone D; FOU Bauchi, D-Operations; Zone A, Operations; Port Harcourt Area 1 command as NPA 2IC, Joe-Eboje Bonded Terminal and Zone B.

He was part of the team that hatched a special operation to stop the flow of parboiled rice in Lagos and its environs during the administration of late CGC Dikko Abdullahi Inde.

Yusuf also served as Special Assistant on Anti-Rice Smuggling and later worked at the Command and Staff College, Gwagwalanda, Abuja, as the Principal Staff Officer, PSO, among others.

His last Area Command posting was Apapa, where he served as the DC Enforcement before he retired from the Abuja Headquarters.
