TACN Elects New National Officers as Pastor Oladele emerges President

The Apostolic Church Nigeria has elected new National officers for the church as Pastor Dr. Lawrence Olusesan Oladele from Lagos And Western/Northern Areas, LAWNA, Territory emerged as the new President with 388 votes.
The election which was conducted at the National Headquarters of the Church in Lagos on Thursday February 6, 2025, saw Pastor Oladele emerged as President against his closer contestant, Pastor Jude O. D. Ekele who polled 196 votes.
The results of the election were announced by the outgoing National President, Pastor Dr Sampson E. Igwe.
According to the results of election as presented by the Chief Returning Officer, LAWNA Territorial Vice Chairman, Pastor David Olusegun Ajibade, saw Pastor E. U. Johnson emerged as elected Vice President from Akwa Ibom State Territory with 297 votes to defeat Pastor Prof. N.E. George who polled 278 votes.
The post of National Secretary saw Pastor Prof Benjamin B. Fakae from Maritime Territory polled total number of 323 votes to defeat Pastor I. B. Zorzor with 155 votes.
Pastor Igwe also announced Pastor Dr. Isaac G. Awotanmi from LAWNA Territory as the new elected Deputy National Secretary with 301 votes to defeat Pastor Dr. Titus O. Akinbami who got 171 votes.
In the same vein, post of National Finance Secretary saw Pastor O.A. Nyong from Cross River State Territory emerged winner with 304 votes to defeat Pastor W. U. Ikpi who polled 134 votes.
Pastor Sam. A. Ogu from LAWNA Territory was nominated as National Deputy Finance Secretary and got appointment un oppose.
In his acceptance speech, the newly elected National President of TACN, Pastor Dr. Lawrence Oladele appreciated efforts of outgoing National officers for their exemplary leadership and pledges to be humble and patient in learning from the fathers.
According to Pastor Oladele, he said, ‘’We want to appreciate our father, the National President whose exemplary leadership we are all benefitting from".
He added, "Our father the Vice President/LAWNA Territorial Chairman, we appreciate you so much also. All National officers and all the NEC members, we thank you and we appreciate you all".
PST. Oladele further stated, "We want to tell our fathers that we shall humbly learn from them. We shall patiently submit ourselves for their Christ-like mind to be poured into us before we assumed offices’’.
‘’May I say this to the fathers whom we contest together that there is no victor and there is no vanquish"; adding, "We have not won and you have not lost".
"We are the same, we need you, we need to cooperate together, the Church must move forward, and we are one. So, I thank you and I thank our fathers. God bless you all", the new National President and immediate past Administrative Secretary at LAWNA Territory concluded.
The newly elected officers would be inducted in August 2025.

Topmost leadership at LAWNA Territory like the Chairman, Vice Chairman, more members of the Executive Council are also expected to retire from active service soonest, in course of year 2025.
