The newly  returned CILT-NG President appreciated members of the professional body and the electoral committee for the initiative saying the process has introduced a lot of innovations to the Institute.

In her words "Good morning, distinguished members of the great CILT, Nigeria. May I, on behalf of the National Council and members congratulate the 2023 CILT Electoral Committee for the conduct of a flawless and credible elections from the outset to the very end. The committee was highly dutiful, diligent and firm on principles and execution. The outcome is an election that is incontestable as evidenced by the post-election comments. Council will re-instate your "contingency". The frequency and quality of your notifications and adverts were impressive and though not in the budget submitted, will be reimbursed. We thank you for your sacrifice and selfless service*.

"I congratulate immensely, the leadership qualities displayed by Joseph and Abiwalon in their prompt acknowledgement and acceptance of the outcome and their commendation of the process. Some could have reacted differently so it is worthy of commendation and emulation for the transformed CILT. They remain our future*.

"For the membership, let us congratulate ourselves for embracing change, for cooperating towards its success and not attempting to sabotage the process. A big shout out to the immediate past president of CILT, Mallam Jibril for introducing online voting.

"Though it was a hybrid (manual + electronic voting) in 2021, it laid a foundation which we used to defeat retrogressive arguments against the 100% electronic voting adopted this year.  With this move, the transformed CILT has aligned with the modern processes of successful professional associations. We collectively share in the significant milestone attained yesterday.

"We can and will have celebrations at the inauguration which will happen at the AGM/National Conference next month. Crucially, less funds were spent by candidates, they didn't have to buy delegates or pay conference fees to supporters in order to get votes. Only the genuinely interested members participated in that important duty of electing leadership, not those seeking free rides to the AGM for purposes of voting. And that is a positive change as it encourages quality membership. Equally important is that we will all have put the stress and ill feelings associated with loss behind us by the time we meet at the AGM.

"It will be a meeting among friends, not foes or the opposition. The process will continue to be fine tuned e.g. incorporate webinar manifesto evenings, scrutinize and verify achievements of officers who seek re-election. I urge the outgoing and incoming officials to commence the handover and familiarization journey forthwith so that we hit the ground running after inauguration*.

"I congratulate and appreciate my Deputy, Dr Aminu Yusuf, a transformed gentleman who believes in female empowerment. One could not have asked for a better Deputy President. Thank you, Sir.*

"I also congratulate all the winners of yesterday's election, both old and new. I look forward to working with you to create a lasting and sustainable legacy for the Institute*.

"To the Secretariat, here I come again. Thank you for adjusting to change and the individual efforts to up your service delivery standard. We still have a long way to go but can and will get there*

"I have to appreciate CILT International for the cooperation, cordial working relationship and progressive leadership.*

"My deep appreciation to my ever faithful professional colleagues. They have been steadfast even without any personal benefit like appointment to offices accruing by virtue of having voted for me the last time. I love you. You make the efforts worthwhile for me. Our shared goal is to make a positive difference in the profession not personal gains. Please stay by me. I will not by the grace of God disappoint you. See you at the conference."
