OYO/OSUN CUSTOMS COMMAND,  NIGERIA POLICE OYO STATE STRENGTHEN TIES

The Oyo/Osun Customs Area Controller, Comptroller  Ben Oramalugo PhD, FCIA, FNIM FNIM has paid a courtesy visit on the Commissioner of Police CP Adebola Hamzat psc, fdc, FCIMC, PhD today at the Nigeria Police Force Headquarters in Oyo State, to further  strengthen the collaboration with other security agencies within the State,

During the visit Comptroller Oramalugo gave a brief history about the establishment of the Nigeria Police Force and the core functions the agency is saddled with. 

In this light he pointed out that when all security agencies within the State and the Country at large, understand the respective mandates and core functions of each security agency all forms of rivalry would be curbed easily.


The Customs Area Controller elaborated the core mandates of Nigeria Customs Service, as encompassing Revenue Generation, Trade Facilitation and Suppression of smuggling. 

He emphasized the need for the Oyo/Osun Command of the Nigeria Customs service to seek increase collaboration, strengthen the synergy with Nigeria Police Force Oyo Command in fulfilling its mandates within the State.


The Commissioner of Police CP Adebola Hamzat psc, fdc, FCIMC, PhD in his response welcomed the Customs Area Controller to Oyo and assured the Customs Area Controller of his commitment to collaborate and further strengthen the already existing relationship between both security agencies.

Hamzat noted the various reforms that had happened in the Nigeria Police Force and how it has made the Police Force more robust and capable to perform its duties to other security agencies and citizens of the Country in general. Hence, there was no need for rivalry between security agencies, as every security agency serves our great nation Nigeria. 

Comptroller Oramalugo also visited the Oyo State Commands of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA,  Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Department of State Security, DSS, Nigeria Airforce Station, NAF,  Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS, Nigerian Correctional Service, NCoS, and respective Heads of agencies all assured him of their commitment and readiness to ensure increased collaboration and improved cordial relationship for better service delivery by all security agencies in the State.
