Adopts 'Otutubiosun 1' Ajigbotulu Elemure Of Emure Kingdom

The retired Customs Officer, oba James Babatunde Ajinoye has become the Elemure of Emure Kingdom, in Ekiti State.

The present Coordinating Officer -in- Charge of the Federal Operations Unit, Zone A at Ondo/Ekiti and an indigene of Emure - Assistant Controller Faleyimu,, Ekiti shared this good development with group of Media practitioners via WhatsApp chat

"One good news for you; a retired senior Customs officer has been crowned First Class Traditional Ruler in Emure - Ekiti".

The WhatsApp chat sent and read thus:
"HRM, Oba James Babatunde Ajiboye; Otutubiosun 1, Ajigbotuulu, Elemure of Emure Kingdom" is now, a new development currently making round in Ekiti.

It is to be recalled that several former and serving Customs officers in the past had become Traditional Rulers at various Kingdoms across Nigeria.

One of such was a retired Deputy Comptroller of Customs, Imra Ayodeji Akintola; now His Royal Majesty, Alua of Erin - Oke Kingdom within Ijesha Land of Osun State.

The Ilu Femiloye, Akintulureshe 1, was coronated on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, by the incumbent Governor of Osun State, Senator Jasper Nurudeen Adeleke.

So, with this new development, as broken by incoming Deputy Comptroller of Customs Faleyimu, Coordinating OC for FOU 'A' in Ondo/Ekiti States of South Western States of Nigeria; Emure - Ekiti in Ekiti State became recent location where a former Customs officer now reigns.

The Customs Service is a strategic agency of Federal Government of Nigeria towards Revenue generation, Enforcement/Operations, Patrols and Anti Smuggling fights/Seizures of contrabands; also, Facilitation of genuine Trades and, Policing of major Gateways at Maritime, Aviation, Land Borders; at Hinterlands (Border routes/Landlocked) areas are basic functions of NCS that exposed retired, serving officers.

So, no wonder, several in the past become Royalties; that of this new Oba of Emure - Ekiti is one, among of such.

Before retirement, Oba Ajiboye previously served at FOU 'A', PTML, Ibadan, Seme, Apapa, Maiduguri and several other Customs formations across Nigeria.

The selected Media for publishing the contents are, however, here wishing His Royal Majesty, Oba James Babatunde Ajiboye, very best on the throne of his forefathers.
