NDLEA, NEWS EMPEROR MAGAZINE TO SENSITISE GENERAL PUBLIC ON ILLICIT DRUG ABUSE

In a deliberate effort to totally free the society from drug related abuse and addiction as well as those involved in trafficking of illicit substances among Nigerian youths, the management of Truewitness Communications and Media Services, Publishers of News Emperor Magazine, is partnering with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, to fight against these drug menaces. 

This partnership and collaboration, according to a statement issued by the management of Truewitness Communications and Media Services, is  a bold move by the two bodies to sensitise the general public on the inherent danger of these illicit substances. 

This was contained in a letter from the management of the National Drug La Enforcement Agency and addressed to the management of Truewitness Communications and Media Services over the approval and agreement for partnership collaboration agreement with the media organization for one-day seminar. 
The letter addressed to the Publisher/Editor-in-chief of News Emperor Magazine, Pastor Ambrose Obioma Okehi was dated 16th July, 2025 and it was titled: "Re-Letter of Invitation To A One-Day Sensitisation on Nigerian Youths and the Danger of Drug Abuse".

According to a press statement on that was made available to newsmen by the management of the news magazine and signed by Ambrose Obioma Okehi, the NDLEA's letter reads: "I have been directed to acknowledge the receipt of your letter dated 30th June, 2025, inviting the agency  to participate in your upcoming one-day Sensitisation seminar. "

The Convener of the seminar also noted that other government security agencies are equally participating and presenting papers at the event. 

Such agencies, the convener said, would include agencies like the Nigeria Customs Service , NCS, the National Agency for Foods and Drugs Administration and Control, NAFDAC, the Standard Organization of Nigeria, SON, the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria, PCN, the Pharmaceuticals Society of Nigeria, PSC. 

Other agencies expected to participate at the enlightenment seminar include: the Nigerian Police Force, NPF and many others. 

The Publisher, Pastor A. k. O. Okehi further added that the narcotic agency equally commended the management of News Emperor Magazine for their passion and noble initiative in addressing the danger of drug addiction and abuse among Nigerian youths, adding that the agency is supportive of the great idea and would be open to partnership and collaboration. 

While giving credence to the collaborative initiative, the agency said:
"In the light of the above,  the agency will be willing to provide the resource person (s) to the progamme".

However, the NDLEA's letter which was signed by the  Deputy  Commander General of Narcotic, who is the Director Drug Demand Reduction, DCGN, Ngozi Anthonia Madubuike, phD, for conveying the thank-you message of Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, CCEO of the agency, Brigadia-General Buba Mohammed Marwa to News Emperor Magazine, the initiators of such noble product.
"While commending you for your support against drug abuse in our society, please accept the Chairman's warm regards," the latter stated.
