Comptroller Frank Onyeka, the Customs Area Controller of Tin Can Island Port Command of the Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, has generated a total revenue of ₦1.576 trillion against an assigned target of ₦1.524 trillion, surpassing target revenue with ₦51.84 billion.

Comptroller Onyeka attributed the achievement to the discipline, professionalism, and unwavering commitment of officers and men of the Command, noting that the milestone was the product of deliberate reforms, improved operational processes, and collective responsibility.

The CAC made this disclosure while briefing pressmen at Tin Island Area Command, Apapa, Lagos.

He noted that the issue of multiple and unnecessary alerts, which previously slowed cargo clearance and created opportunities for abuse, was deliberately addressed through streamlined alert management and strengthened internal coordination. that the issues of multiple alerts has become a thing of the past in Tincan Island Area

Comptroller Onyeka said major revenue drivers in 2025 included bulk cargo, general merchandise, and the importation of used vehicles, which constitute a significant share of trade throughput at the port. He explained that strict cargo examination procedures and adherence to customs regulations ensured full and accurate revenue collection on all eligible imports.

He said Tincan Island command achieved 16 billion per day through B'Odogwu which has assisted greatly. He said most best and dedicated officers are in Tincan Island.
"Tincan had achieved 16 billion a day and B'Odogwu has assisted me greatly".

Comptroller Onyeka  lauded the confidence the CGC, his wife, officers and stakeholders reposed on him.

He reiterated the core mandates of customs which includes revenue generation, anti smuggling,and national security for economic growth.

He also said clearing of containers can only take two days when there is no issues with clearance.

Comptroller Onyeka said he is not threatened with the recent achievement by Lekki Deep Seaport."You are talking to Frank Onyeka Revenue personified 
I cannot be threatened" Comptroller Onyeka said.

Speaking on the benefits of Customs care initiative, he said that"the CGC has come to change narrative for betterment of Nigerians. It's about customs impacting lives"

He said there is a template for those who qualified for  Authorized Economic Operator, AEO,  and stakeholders who are AEO compliant.
